How I can do with my son 13 years old, not doing your homework and classword?

My son is A and B for most of his classes except the class that you care. It has an F in math and just do your job. I enrolled in a class of school assignments after the last three weeks and does not seem help motivate. I also propose help.He is a good guy and for the year flew under the radar, causing no problems in class. It is quiet and kept to himself and his friends. Over the years I have done all that. From having to go and talk with school teachers on a weekly basis to flip out and lose, so I had to restrain myself. I ALL lost hope when it comes to teachers in Florida. You ask them to notify you when your child is difficult, but do not. And when asked why it took two semesters for the "demand" a lecture, they have no real reason. I took the computer and video game privileges until the next newsletter, but I feel I've been here done this and not work. Suggestions?
